This place used to be the best in Polk County. Not anymore!! I don't know what they think a sandwich is but if we had bitten down into these we would have choked! This is not a sandwich, although that is what we ordered! A wing in a sandwich!?!? Ribs bones and some other free floating bones throughout the sandwich!?!? Bread is store bought loaf bread! Can't get any cheaper than that!?!?! The pulled pork sandwich came like a normal sandwich but it is drowning in BBQ sauce because the meat is extremely tough, dry and inedible!! The meat looks grey! We are disgusted!! This really could have hurt someone!! It's really disappointing because they used to be THE best! $50 down the drain!!!! I'm hungry ?

Mr. Carter saved the day by catering our event at the last minute. Everyone loved the food, especially the sweet potato pie. Very friendly and fast service. Will definitely be using Carter's BBQ again in the future. Thank you so much for catering our event at Peace River Citrus Products.

First time ever there was on Monday. Chopped Pork Sandwich, FF and Sweet Tea. Bragged to my wife enough that we had my son stop to get lunch on Wednesday. Saturday was a long day at our shop so picked up Chopped Pork with Mustard Sauce. Cole Slaw , Black Eye Peas , and Okra and Tomatoes. Can’t brag enough about the food. Well seasoned, hot , fresh. Service was great. Remember it is a drive thru / walk up establishment so wait your turn . It’s well worth it . Oh and a bonus Sweet Potato Pie is killer !!!!! Made the trip from Lake Wales and will definitely make it AGAIN !!!!

Heard about Carter’s from a friend and decided to stop by for a slab. Happy I did. The ribs were hot, fresh and full of flavor. Zach and company did not disappoint. I will be back! Also, the Carolina mustard sauce was delicious.

What a joke. Food is below average. I ordered a bbq chicken sandwich and they were so lazy they literally put a couple chicken wings (bone in) on two pieces of sandwich bread and called it a chicken sandwich ?. Bbq sauce wasn’t good. I’ll never go back. 1 and done. To top that off the workers were very rude and rushed me to order. Don’t know how they still exist in the bbq industry. WHAT A JOKE DONT EAT HERE!

We were looking for a snack and ended up getting a ton of food! The wings were awesome in the mustard sauce and the Lima beans are to die for!!! Definitely need to stop and try!

Carter's gives you a reason to stop in Mulberry, other than a flat tire. Very nice take-out barbecue place. Nice variety of fresh made sides to choose from. The collard greens and black eyed peas were both excellent. The fresh cornbread is good too. Choose from barbecue or soul food dinners. I really enjoyed the ribs.

Super fresh BBQ. The rib platter is huge. Iced tea cups are huge. Chicken hot and juicy. Plenty of tables out front with umbrellas for a quick eat. Saw lots of people ordering ahead and picking up in the drive thru. Super ice people working there. A solid stop if you’re travelling down 60 in the Mulberry area.
